In El Nido last November wile working with Sail PH, I had a quiet conversation with one of Sail PH's paraw sailing captains. He talked about how he got started, a simple beginning that led to a life shaped by wind, water, and tradition. Paraw sailing isn’t easy. These boats don’t use motors, they rely entirely on the sea and the wind, demanding skill, patience, and instinct. It’s a dying art, one that's quietly fading. But it carries so much of who we are, and it deserves to be remembered, passed down, and kept alive as part of our culture.
